Simon Says
This classic game is always useful for teaching actions, or verbs. I found it useful for commands, and other responsive sentences. To play stand in the class and tell the students that they may only do what Simon says, if they do something Simon doesn't say then have them sit down.

Teacher May I
This is a spin off of Mother May I and can be used for almost any grammar point. Have the students ask questions that you may have reviewed and then you answer the question. If you want to mix it up a bit have the students make questions based upon your answer.

War Zone
Draw two cities, next to each other on the board. Put two cannons one on top of the tallest building in each city. Explain to the students that once they answer a question correctly they can shoot a bomb at the other teams building. Each time a bomb is fired the teacher will make a cool sound and erase part of the building of the opposing team. Now that the setup is done, split the class into two teams, and give them each a number. Have the two number 1 students stand, ask them a question, have them answer the one to answer correctly can choose a square. If its a tie settle it by playing Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Sticky Ball Toss (Needed: One Suction Cup Sticky Ball)
Draw 6 circles on the board and write point values in each circle. Have the students stand behind a line and throw the sticky ball at the board. Have them answer questions, the correct answer gets the points the highest score wins. Split the class into two teams, and give them each a number. Have the two number 1 students stand, ask them a question, have them answer the one to answer correctly can choose a square. If its a tie settle it by playing Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Basketball (one suction cup hoop needed and a ball)
This game is easy to teach and then use providing you have a suction cup basketball hoop which can be purchased at any department store worldwide. First put the hoop on the board then draw three lines on the floor, or use pieces of string to mark lines on the floor. Then assign point values for each line. At this point just ask questions, the person who answers correctly gets to take a few shots at the basket. The points are awarded based upon where they shoot from.
